Robert William Was a American Factory Worker Known by a Human Killed by The Robot . Robert William is a Human And At the Time He Was Working at the Company Called Ford Motor  Flat Rock Casting Plant Robert William Was Killed By an Industrial Robot Arm in the Year Of Jan 25 1979 . Robert Williams Was One Of the Three Operators Of the Parts Of Retrieval System . A Robot Was Build By the Unit Of Handling System Divisions Of Litton Industries . This robot Was Specially Designed For Retrieve From High density Storage Shelves at the Flat Rock Bottom Part Of this Machine Included the One Ton Transfer Vehicles 

  There were the carts on the rubber wheels equipped with the mechanical arms Easily to move castings  from the shelves to Another Places. When the Arm robot gave the inventory readings, Robert Williams was asked to Climb into the Racks to retrieve the parts manually. Robert William's family Filed a Case Against the manufacturers of the Hand robot, In the Litton Industries, Says That "that the Litton was negligent in designing, manufacturing and supplying the storage system and in failing to warn [system operators] of Forceable dangers in working within the storage area." In a 1983 jury decision, That the court awarded his Estate $10 million American Dollars and Concluded that there simply were not enough safety measures Taken in that place to prevent such an Horrible accident from happening. His Death Was Write down in history as the first recorded human death by Robot. The award was raised to Over a Quarter Billion American Dollars in Year Of January 1984. Litton Company settled with the estate of Williams for an undisclosed amount Of American Dollars  in exchange for Litton is not admitting Negligence. Litton had sought indemnification and recovery of judgment costs from Ford because Ford had not sent Williams to Litton-provided training and allowed That Williams to enter the rack without engaging the lockout system. And the Michigan Court of Appeals denied the action, and that decision was later upheld by the Supreme Court of Michigan.
